About Me
Hey I'm Maiya! I'm a photographer who specializes in fashion, portrait and event photography based in New Jersey and New York City.
I started my journey towards the end of 2015 when I created a fashion page on Instagram where I would showcase my high school’s different fashion. I took advantage of my school’s diversity within race, gender, ethnicity, and style. Over the course of that year, I grew a following on Instagram and continued my love of photography.
I have had my work published in The New York Times, New York Magazine and Teen Vogue!
I am currently working on creating my own magazine releasing in the near future that discusses people of color and activism within our communites!
Today I have a bachelor's degree in Photography from the Fashion Institute of Technology! Currently building my career and working towards a BFA has been a great journey for me!
